This is an ode to the women in my life. The women so beautiful, so loving and so kind. The women who just don't realise how much they are worth.
To the women who selflessly love and crave nothing in return. To those of you who care day and night for those you love, not seeking even a word of thanks. It gets tiring at times, but you were never one to give up.
To the women who have gone so far to prove themselves. For having settled for nothing less than what your heart's set upon. To constantly strive to up the aspirations and live up to expectations. It gets scary at times, but you were never one to give up.
To the women who ran away from it all seeking reprieve. To the women who came back, knowing that pride wasn't a worthy price to pay for all that they might lose. To the women who have to work their way back from scratch. You feel like giving up sometimes, but you were never one to admit defeat.
To the women who give second chances and hope for a better tomorrow. You keep the world shining with your optimism alone. Every passing day seems to eat away at your hopefulness. It gets disillusioning sometimes, but you were never one to stop smiling.
To the women who devote themselves to an avenue and never stop till they've attained perfection. To the women who have tolerated so much and taken everything in their stride.
To the women who have played second fiddle so often and yet never complained. To the women who sit there and listen to him moan and mutter in his stupor,knowing that the woman he wants isn't you. To the women who still sit there despite knowing the above mentioned.
To the women who have braved rain and shine to be there. To the women whom you claim to be just friends with.
To the women who sit there at midnight on your birthday,waiting for your arrival, while you're out with someone else. To the women who clean your vomit up and let you drool all over their laps.
To the women who gamely let you take a jab at them,just so that your ego gets a little massage. To the women who intentionally lose so that you feel better.
To the women who have subjected themselves to catcalls,wolf whistles and prank calls without blowing their top.
